Dog Training

1 to 1 dog training

1 to 1 Dog Training Sessions

I will come to your home at a time that is convenient to you. Please set aside 3 hours for your first training session.

I will first take a little time to take a detailed history of your dog and the behaviour problems you are experiencing and to observe your dog and its behaviour in its home territory. It is important to take the time to do this so that I can get to the bottom of the “why” element of the behavioural problem you are experiencing. Without establishing and addressing the fundamental causes of the behaviour, any training is simply a sticking plaster that will not provide the lasting solution I want to provide you with.

Once we’ve done this, we can get going with the practical element to the training where I will show you how to fix the problems you are having by using a combination of body language and voice tones alongside the setting of some simple rules and boundaries that are so important to ALL dogs.

At the end of our first 3 hour consultation, you WILL see a huge improvement in your dogs behaviour.

Much of the training can be incorporated into your daily routine and interaction with your dog so you are not going to need to suddenly find an extra few hours in the day to do the training. By putting in place the changes I discuss with you and practising the simple drills I show you for a few minutes each day, you will see a lasting change in your dog’s behaviour and the problems you were once having will be gone.

I will provide you with:

  • Initial consultation and practical training sessions
  • A written Training Plan together with additional help sheets and handouts
  • Follow-up help and advice via telephone and/or email
  • Whatever follow-up training/refresher sessions you may require.
